BOSS Vision Instructions

Congrats!

You are now an owner of the Boss Vision POV Visor Mount System.

Sure, there are other options out there that can achieve somewhat of the same thing, but I’ve always strived for something more bespoke and above all; something that isn’t hideous.

Why would we stick the ugliest GoPro mount on our extremely expensive helmets?

Instructions

1 — Wipe down visor to remove all debris, dirt, and oils for proper adhesion. Use included alcohol wipe to clean the area that you'll be installing the visor mount on. If you skip this step, the mount WILL NOT stick properly and you run the risk of the mount falling off!

2 — Align mount with the middle of your visor. Take your time with this step, as the 3M VHB adhesive used for mounting is very strong. The top lip of the mount should be resting on the lip of your visor.

We recommend adhering the mount directly to the visor for best results. If you use a visor strip, then you can adhere the mount directly to your visor strip. However, if your visor strip is dirty or marred, there is a chance that the 3M VHB will not properly adhere.

3 - Remove backing on 3M VHB adhesive and firmly press down on the visor for 30 seconds. For best results, remove visor from helmet so that you can press down hard.

4 - Attach GoPro and start shooting great POV footage of yourself on the track! Note: Boss Vision is meant for the GoPro to me mounted upside down.

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDERS

- When storing your helmet away in a helmet bag after a long day at the track, PLEASE REMOVE THE CAMERA BRACKET FROM THE VISOR MOUNT. During transit, the bracket could hit things and get bumped off or damaged over time.

- When fastening the M4 screws, be sure that you DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN! You can and will destroy the threaded inserts by over-torqueing. No refunds will be made for damage to the threaded inserts due to over-torqueing.

Features

• 3D Printed in Nylon 12 on a Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) machine, which is often used for ultra strong and resilient tooling in commercial manufacturing.

(TLDR; it’s strong AF)

• Ability to remove the camera bracket whenever you aren’t recording POV footage, leaving a sleek, minimal design that doesn’t look hideous on your helmet.

• Positions the camera lens about 1” away from the Driver’s ‘True’ eyeline for most helmets. Get closer to that real POV!

Keep in mind that you might see a little bit of the camera at the top of your viewport. However, it should never impede your vision and when you’re focused on driving, you’ll never ‘see’ it.

• All hardware are 18-8 stainless steel for maximum corrosion protection for those of you who drive open-wheel.

(We haven't tested BOSS Vision in an open-wheel car yet)

• Super light-weight construction so that you minimize as much added weight on your head as possible. Of course, there’s not much we can do about the camera’s weight.

• Mount is completely modular, so we can create a solution for most action cameras! Insta360 Go3 camera design is in the works. If you have a camera you’d like to have a mount made for, we can accommodate you!

We look forward to seeing all the great POV videos that you all capture!
